Mr. Tuan Do is a Vietnamese refugee who came to the United States in 1993. He currently resides in Mobile, Alabama with his wife and daughter. He works as a program coordinator at Boat People SOS, assisting the Vietnamese population affected by the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Mr. Do is involved in several other community programs including the Southern State Human Trafficking Task Force, which assists trafficking victims in the Mobile County area. He is also involved in a youth leadership initiative that encourages middle and high school students to volunteer in the community. Mr. Do is most proud of having provided his community with broader knowledge and equipping those in the surrounding region with new resources.
