Ally Ntumba is the Refugee Congress Delegate for Indiana. He was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and arrived in the United States in 2013 after fleeing conflicts and civil war.

Ntumba is passionate about helping and working with immigrants and refugees in Indianapolis and the United States. He works as an Employment Specialist at Exodus Refugee Immigration Services, a nonprofit organization based in Indianapolis. Exodus delivers support to refugees through reception and placement and works closely with newly arrived refugees by providing intensive case management services and assistance setting up social service benefits, medical screenings and appointments,
orientation to the U.S., enrollment of children in school and other services.

Before joining Exodus, Ntumba served one year as an AmeriCorps a worker in Immigration and Refugee Service (IRSC). He has more than ten years of experience working with nonprofits and youth organizations, especially in the areas of human rights, peace initiatives and conflict resolution.

While in Africa, he was the co-founder of many youth organizations and networks in the eastern part of Congo. He served as the Executive Director of Ligue des Jeanes Grands Lacs (Great Lakes Youth League), a position that allowed him to work closely with youth in Burundi, DRC, Rwanda and Uganda. He also worked as a journalist with local newspapers and was active in radio and television broadcasting.

Ntumba has a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management and is currently working towards an MBA in Non-Profit Organization and Entrepreneurship from City Vision University. He is an active member of the Congo Community and co-founder of Congo American Bridge, a nonprofit organization based in Indiana.
