Dagemawit Kebede is the Refugee Congress Advocacy & Communications Associate.

Born and raised in Ethiopia, she moved to the U.S. ten years ago. She recently graduated from Towson University with a B.S. in Political Science and brings with her experience in advocacy, communications, civic engagement and youth empowerment through her work with the Amhara Association of America, International Rescue Committee and UndocuBlack, as well as the Ethiopian Eritrean Student Association and the UCLA Labor Center.

She is passionate about social justice and being a resource to her communities.
