Kalisa Ndikumwimana is the Refugee Congress Delegate for North Dakota.
He is a refugee from the Democratic Republic of the Congo who was resettled in Fargo, North Dakota, in 2011. He lives and works in Fargo as a pharmacy technician and a school translator at Davies South High School. He also works with the Unaccompanied Minor Program with Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota, an organization that he says has greatly impacted him by introducing him to community events and educational opportunities.
In 2015, Ndikumwimana was selected to participate in the National Refuge Youth Consult in Washington, DC, where he represented the state of North Dakota and gave a presentation to stakeholders on language barriers. He is most proud of contributing to his community by welcoming new refugees.
