Omar Bah, founder of Refugee Dream Center, speaks at the State House Rotunda in support of Syrian refugees

This event to support Syrian refugees and change the perception of these refugees was planned by legislators, community and religious leaders in Rhode Island. Omar spoke in front of senators, representatives, and other Rhode Island leaders as he called on attendees to stay true to the nation’s ideals: “True to the spirit of Roger Williams and the founders of this great nation, I call on the leadership of the United States to keep the American promise of compassion, freedom and hope.” You can read more of Omar’s statement here:
